BinaryConvert is built with privacy as a core principle. We believe your data belongs to you and should remain under your control at all times.

Data Collection

What We Collect

Nothing. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or conversion data.

What We DON'T Collect

• Personal information (name, email, address, etc.)
• Conversion inputs or outputs
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• IP addresses or device information
• Cookies (except essential browser storage for your preferences)
• Account data (we don't have user accounts)

How BinaryConvert Works

Client-Side Processing Only

All conversion operations happen entirely in your browser using JavaScript:

1. You enter data in the conversion tool
2. JavaScript code running in your browser performs the conversion
3. Results are displayed in your browser
4. No data is ever sent to our servers or any third-party services

Browser Storage (Optional Features)

BinaryConvert uses local browser storage (localStorage and IndexedDB) for optional convenience features:

• Conversion History: Stores your past conversions locally in your browser so you can access them later
• Dark Mode Preference: Remembers your theme preference

Share Feature

When you click "Share Results" on any tool:

• A URL is generated that includes your current conversion inputs and outputs as URL parameters
• Example: ?input=Hello&output=01001000...
• This URL is copied to your clipboard
• You choose whether to share this URL with others
• We do not track who shares URLs or who visits shared links

Third-Party Services

No Third-Party Tracking

We do NOT use:

• Google Analytics or any analytics services
• Advertising networks or trackers
• Social media pixels or widgets
• A/B testing platforms
• Third-party cookies

Hosting Provider

BinaryConvert is hosted on Vercel. While Vercel may collect basic server logs (IP address, request time, URL) for infrastructure purposes, we do not have access to this data and it is not used for tracking or analytics.

AI Features

BinaryConvert does not currently use any AI features or services. All conversions are performed using standard algorithmic code.

If we add AI features in the future:

• We will update this privacy policy with clear disclosures
• We will specify which AI provider is used
• We will describe exactly what data (if any) is sent to the AI service
• Any AI features will be optional and clearly labeled

Your Rights

Data Portability

Since all your data is stored locally in your browser:

• You have complete control over your data
• You can export your conversion history anytime (if we implement export features)
• You can clear your data using the "Clear History" button

Data Deletion

To delete all locally stored data:

1. Click "Clear History" in any tool's history panel
2. Or clear your browser's site data for binaryconvert.dev
3. Or use your browser's "Clear browsing data" feature

Children's Privacy

BinaryConvert does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. All tools work anonymously without requiring any personal information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.

We will not introduce data collection or tracking without:

1. Updating this privacy policy with clear disclosures
2. Providing notice on the website
3. Giving users the ability to opt out

Open Source Transparency

BinaryConvert's code is designed to be auditable. You can verify our privacy claims by:

• Inspecting the source code in your browser's developer tools
• Using browser network monitoring to confirm no data is sent to servers
• Reviewing our conversion logic to see it runs client-side
